Former Asante Kotoko striker Sampson Eduku is on the verge of joining Bibiani Gold Stars as the Miners aim to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
According to sources close to the deal, negotiations are at an advanced stage, with personal terms already agreed. Eduku, now a free agent, is expected to add depth and experience to the squad as Gold Stars prepare for both domestic competition and their maiden CAF Champions League campaign.
The 29-year-old was recently released by Asante Kotoko after failing to make a significant impact during his short spell in Kumasi. With limited appearances and no goals to his name, the club opted not to retain him as they reshape their team for the upcoming season and their CAF Confederation Cup journey.
Eduku brings with him a solid track record in Ghanaian football, having previously featured for Karela United, Sekondi Hasaacas, and had a stint abroad with Al Quwa Al Jawiya in Iraq before joining Kotoko.
His expected arrival at Duns Park is seen as a timely addition to Coach Frimpong Manso’s squad revamp, offering a combination of experience and hunger to revive his form.
An official announcement is expected in the coming days once the final formalities are completed.
