Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have expressed strong interest in signing Dreams FC youngster Abdul Aziz Issah on a season long loan ahead of the 2024/25 season
The 19-year-old after an outstanding display in the 2023/24 season earned himself a move to European giants FC Barcelona in the last summer transfer window on loan and the agreement includes a permanent purchase option but that clause couldn't get triggered
The mercurial playmaker started life very well at their youth team - Barca Athletic, where he got invited to the first team by Hansi Flick for couple of training sessions before subsequently featuring in their next two matches against Real Sociedad B and Nastic - all with cameo appearances
He has since really struggled to secure playing time as he was at some point not in the coaches plan and was left out of match-day squad on number of occasions
On his return to Dreams FC, rumours has it that Asante Kotoko have opened talks with the player's representatives hoping for a loan move. However it is also reported that Aziz has gotten offers from some European clubs and could be exploiting those options very soon
Abdul Aziz Issah is currently on another national assignment with the Black Stars at the ongoing Unity Cup tournament in West London but didn't feature in Ghana's 2-1 loss to Nigeria last night
