Asante Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya has set an ambitious goal for the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign—adding more goals to his game and making a significant impact for the Porcupine Warriors.

The former King Faisal star is one of the few players who remained with the club after a major squad overhaul. Reflecting on his debut season, Yahaya admitted that he didn’t meet expectations but is determined to turn things around.

In a recent media interaction, Yahaya expressed his desire to score at least 10 goals in the upcoming season, highlighting his commitment to improving his performance.

“I couldn’t put myself up last season. This season, I am hoping to score at least 10 goals for Kotoko. I’m working hard to achieve this target,” Yahaya stated.

Asante Kotoko is currently in the midst of preparations for the 2024/25 campaign, already securing two wins in preseason friendly matches. The team is set to face Medeama on Friday as part of the inauguration of the newly built TNA Park in Tarkwa.

Kotoko will kick off their Premier League campaign against Karela United, with Yahaya aiming to be a key contributor to their success.
