Kickgh.com understands that Asante Kotoko are on the verge of parting ways with midfielder Samuel Tenedu, with the player expected to leave the club ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League season.
While Kotoko are yet to release an official statement at the time of filing this report, our sources indicate that an agreement has been reached for the defensive midfielder to leave the club.
Tenedu joined the Porcupine Warriors from Legon Cities in July 2024 as part of Kotoko’s rebuilding project, however he has not enjoyed consistent minutes, making only a few appearances in the various domestic competitions.
The decision falls within Kotoko’s broader squad restructuring, as they look to fine-tune their options while sitting top of the table.
Tenedu is now expected to weigh up his next move ahead of the second round of the season, with a number of Ghana Premier League clubs believed to be keeping a close eye on his availability.
