Asante Kotoko is set to appoint a new Technical Director, as reported by Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

This decision follows recent changes announced by the club's Interim Management Committee (IMC) on Monday, including the resignation of Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum from his role as a member of the IMC.

The move, which has reportedly received approval from the club's life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Manhyia Palace, will allow Dr. Ogum to focus entirely on his responsibilities as head coach. The club believes this shift will enable Ogum to better guide the team towards achieving its competitive goals.

To support Dr. Ogum's efforts and strengthen the technical setup, Kotoko has decided to recruit a new Technical Director. This strategic decision is aimed at boosting the team’s performance as they seek to recover from a challenging start to the Ghana Premier League season.

The Porcupine Warriors have come under significant criticism following a winless streak of five consecutive games. However, they broke that run with a much-needed 2-0 victory over Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko currently sits in 7th place in the league standings with 18 points from 12 matches. They are now preparing for a highly anticipated Matchday 13 clash against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
