Asante Kotoko's striking sensation, Steven Mukwala, is determined to clinch the coveted Ghana Premier League golden boot for the 2023/24 season.
Despite trailing the current joint top scorers, Stephen Amankona and Hamza Issah, by one goal and two goals respectively, Mukwala remains undeterred.
With five games remaining in the season, the Ugandan striker is ready to power his team to a top-half finish while chasing his personal goal.
“As a striker, if you want to see that you are improving, you have to fight and least equal the number you scored last season or go beyond that so we still have five more games to go (in the league),” he told the club’s media team.
“This gives me the motivation and the belief that at least I see the ultimate goal which is taking the golden boot.”
As Asante Kotoko gears up to face Chelsea at the Golden City Park in their upcoming fixture, Mukwala's quest for glory continues unabated.
