Bibiani Gold Stars center-back Vincent Atinga has thrown down the gauntlet to clubs in the Ghana Premier League, boldly declaring himself a guaranteed ticket to success after clinching his second league title.

Fresh off helping Bibiani Gold Stars lift the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League trophy, Atinga didn’t hold back in his post-title celebrations, delivering a confident message to potential suitors: “If you want to win the league in Ghana, you should sign me.”

The 31-year-old defender has now won the GPL twice — first with Hearts of Oak in 2020/21 and most recently with Medeama — becoming one of the few active players to achieve the feat with two different clubs in such a short span.

“I don't have words to describe my feelings,” Atinga stated after his side's ruthless 4-0 demolition of Accra Lions.

“I am too excited because I took Medeama to win the league and I also did it with Gold stars. It was very very difficult. You know, there are ups and downs. There were games we were supposed to win and we ended up losing so it was difficult.”

Known for his commanding presence in defense and aerial dominance, Atinga played a pivotal role in Gold Stars title charge, featuring in 18 matches.

His statement has sparked chatter across the local football scene, with fans and pundits debating whether clubs like Asante Kotoko or Nations FC should consider bringing him onboard as they gear up for next season.

With his contract at Gold Stars nearing its end (2026), speculation over his next move is already heating up — and Atinga is clearly not shy about staking his claim as one of the league’s most valuable assets.

As the transfer window approaches, one thing is certain: wherever Vincent Atinga ends up, expectations will follow — and perhaps, so will another league title.

Meanwhile, Gold Stars have secured Ghana’s slot in next season’s CAF Champions League.
