Augustine Okrah is potentially gearing up for a return to Bechem United as the upcoming football season approaches.
The former Asante Kotoko forward is reportedly participating in training sessions with the Bechem-based team during their ongoing preseason preparations, hinting at a reunion with his former club.
Following his instrumental role in guiding Bechem United to the finals of the 2021/22 FA Cup, Okrah embarked on a move abroad, joining Tanzanian side Simba SC on a two-year contract.
However, his tenure at the Tanzanian powerhouse did not unfold as planned, prompting the winger to return to Ghana in pursuit of a new club opportunity.
Reliable sources indicate that the management of the Ghana Premier side has expressed a keen interest in reuniting with their former standout player.
Assuming all falls into place, it is anticipated that Augustine Okrah will finalize his return to Bechem United prior to the commencement of the 2024 season. This would mark the second instance of him rejoining the club.
In the midst of these developments, there are additional reports suggesting that Nations FC, a recently promoted team, is also showing interest in securing the experienced winger's services.
Augustine Okrah initially burst onto the scene with Bechem United during the 2013/14 league season, impressively netting 16 goals to claim the top scorer title for the season.
His subsequent journey took him to Swedish side BK Hacken before he transitioned to Sudanese outfit Al Merreikh the following year. Another move followed as he switched allegiances to rivals Al Hilal Omdurman a year later.
