Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya insists his side have what it takes to challenge league leaders Medeama SC when the two meet in a demanding matchweek 11 encounter of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

The Hunters head to Tarkwa this Saturday for a clash that promises ferocity, with Medeama enjoying strong early-season form and Bechem looking to build consistency.

For Yahaya, however, belief remains central to the team’s preparation. Speaking ahead of the trip, the assistant coach underlined the importance of mindset and resilience.

“Medeama are one of the best in the league this season. We are also working and we are working on the shortcomings in the team,” he told Bechem United TV.

“We are preparing very well because we don’t want to lose any points, whether away or at home.

“We respect them, but we will play to fight for the points. At the end of the day, we hope to pick up at least a point. We lost there last season, and that does not mean we will lose again. Everything can happen in football, and the mentality we take into the game is very important.”

Bechem United’s visit to the TnA Stadium kicks off at 3:30 pm on Saturday, November 22, as both sides look to strengthen their footing in the table.
