Hearts of Oak head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has stated emphatically clear that Benjamin Asare remains his number one and the club’s captain despite recent spells on sidelines.
The experienced goalie has been the club’s first choice in goal since last season but was recently off action due to national assignment and injury.
His absence was never felt though as Solomon Agbasi took over the mantle and delivered outstanding performances with six clean sheets in eight games and that has got the majority talking.
Asare, finally bounced back in goal over the weekend and once again marked with a clean sheet in their narrow 1-0 win over Hohoe United over the weekend.
In a post-match interview, the seasoned gaffer confirmed that Benjamin Asare is the first choice to end all debates
“Benjamin Asare is our number one goalkeeper and the captain. Whenever he is fit and ready, he gets the nod to start."
Hearts of Oak are still in fifth place with 31 points and will welcome Dreams FC to the capital in the next round of matches
