Hearts of Oak coach Didi Dramani has confirmed that Benjamin Asare is still the club’s first-choice goalkeeper and will start whenever he is fit.
Speaking after the Rainbow-shirted lads 1-0 win over Hohoe United on Saturday, Dramani stressed Asare’s importance, saying he is both the first-choice goalkeeper and the team captain.
“Benjamin Asare is our number one goalkeeper and the captain. Whenever he is fit and ready, he gets the nod to start,” Dramani said.
Asare came back to the starting line-up after weeks out injured and put in a strong performance as Hearts won their first game of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
With the second round now starting, Hearts of Oak hope Asare stays fit and plays an important part in helping the team perform consistently and challenge for the league title.
