The Bibires head coach, Samuel Boadu has fumed, eventhough, they defeated Medeama SC 2-1 at the Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon.
Boadu's men were up to the task in the fiercely contested matchday 17 clash marred by several contentious decisions that went in the away team's favor.
Enterprising forward Stephen Amankona fired Chelsea into the lead in the 45+2' minutes, playing the home team upfront into recess.
Fans were left seething when the Yellow and Mauve benefited from few huge calls in the afternoon, including when Medeama were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute which was later converted by Mubarik Yussif to change the scoreline to 1-1.
However, Berekum Chelsea surprisingly scored the match winner in the 90+6' minute through their captain Zakaria Fuseini, throwing the home crowd into ecstasy as they secured all the three points at stake.
Meanwhile, the Bibires gaffer - Boadu' having seen some controversial calls go against them, he branded those decisions by referee S.K Mawuli Klu as 'really bad'.
“I’m satisfied with the three maximum points but officiating was really bad. I don’t complain about officiating but this time around, I’m complaining. The FA can sanction me, I don’t mind.
“We all talk about the beauty of the game but how can football be beautiful with this officiating? He questioned.
“I don’t want to know the name of the referee and his assistance but if they continue to do this, they will collapse Ghana football."
Berekum Chelsea accrued 22 points in 10th position to end the first round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
