Vision FC suffered a huge 4-1 loss to giants Asante Kotoko over the weekend in GPL match-day 17 and their head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang believes his lads showed so much respect to their opponents and that accounted for their defeat.
The 'Ewuo Keke' lads were very optimistic of causing an upset in Kumasi heading into the game following their recent four-game unbeaten run but turned out to be something different after full time.
Nana Yaw Osei got the visitors their consolation goal while Kwame Opoku's brace coupled with other two from Peter Acquah Amidu and Saaka Dauda gave the hosts what was a resounding victory to serge on with their unbeaten run.
Vision FC due to recent string of good outcomes have climbed up to the 11th spot with 19 points despite a sloppy start in their maiden topflight campaign and coach Nana Kweku Agyemang stated he exposed himself at the pre-match presser and also his lads lacked confidence in the game.
“My side gave Asante Kotoko too much respect in the game. Let me congratulate Asante Kotoko," coach Agyemang said.
"One of the boys told me that Coach Ogum made them watch my pre-match five times and capitalized on what I said to play a good game."
Vision FC will look to get themselves back on winning path when they travel to Berekum Chelsea in the next round of matches.
