FC Samartex new head coach, Christopher Ennin in his first game in charge failed to pick a win over giants Hearts of Oak but was pleased with the general performance of his players.

The Timber Giants were held by the 'Phobians' to a pulsating draw last Sunday at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in match-day 17 of the Ghana Premier League.

The game was really a very tough one for both teams who attacked each other right from onset and made series of attacks but there was still no goal produced.

In a post-match interview with Globe TV, Christopher Ennin disclosed they looked very determined more than their opponents and made the most incursions on goal but couldn't make them count but all the same he was very proud of their performance.

“You can count the chances they got and the chances we got, we were more on attack but unfortunately in football, that is how it is, it’s draw, lose or win so since it’s being my first game, we will go to the drawing board, do something to bounce back as early as possible,” Ennin said.

“I will really appreciate the boys, they did a very great job, they worked according plan but unfortunately we couldn’t get a goal so don’t forget we still have a return game in Accra so anything can happen."

FC Samartex have had a sloppy run towards their title defense as they currently sit on the 8th position with 22 points and will host Dreams FC in the next round of matches.
