FC Samartex coach Christopher Ennin reveals that he was content with the confidence of his players after the 0-0 draw with Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League match-day 17 fixture on Sunday.

Despite the explosive form of Hearts, the Timber Giants resisted the pressure from the Phobians throughout the first and second halves until the final whistle was blown.

Ennin lamented dropping vital points at home (Nsenkyire Arena) as his player misfired a couple of chances that came begging to be slotted home.

"You can count the chances they got and the chances we got, we were more on attack but unfortunately in football, that is how it is, it’s draw, lose or win so since it’s being my first game, we will go to the drawing board, do something to bounce back as early as possible," he told the post-game press conference.

"I will really appreciate the boys, they did a very great job, they worked according to plan but unfortunately we couldn’t get a goal so don’t forget we still have a return game in Accra so anything can happen."

Samartex who are currently 8th on the league standings with 22 points after seventeen rounds of matches will host Dreams FC (on Sunday, January 26) at the beginning of the second round of the season.
