Berekum Chelsea have expressed strong interest in signing their former defender Henry Ansu on loan from Asante Kotoko until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old knows the Golden City Park very well where he spent almost five years and made over 80 appearances for the Bibires tallying seven goals within that period as a defender.
Ansu ended his long stay in Berekum to join giants Asante Kotoko in August 2023 and was really an integral member of the club last season having made 24 league appearances.
However, the story looks different now for the lanky center-back who isn't getting much playing time like he use to at the moment having struggled to break the newly-established defensive pair of Samba O'Neil and Joseph Ablorh in the heart of defense.
With this, his former club Berekum Chelsea are pushing for the loan signing of Ansu and have already made a proposal with Kotoko yet to respond but looks very unlikely for the deal to happen, per reports.
Henry Ansu was part of the Black Galaxies squad at the 2023 African Nations Championship tournament held in Algeria.
