Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bibiani Gold Stars, Akwasi Adu, expressed his delight over his team's 1-1 draw with defending champions Asante Kotoko at Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Despite striker Solomon Sarfo Taylor scoring first to give the Porcupine Warriors the lead, in-form striker Abednego Tetteh scored late to level the game and deny Kotoko a home win.

Adu revealed that they had promised the team a significant bonus of $3000 if they avoided defeat against Kotoko in the game. Motivated by their position on the league table, they aimed to inspire the team to secure a good result in Kumasi.

“Coming into this game, we promised the team a huge bonus of $3000 should they avoid a defeat against Kotoko. We looked at our position on the league table and thought it wise to motivate the team to get a good results in Kumasi.

He also stated that he would personally present the money to the team, as they gave their all in the game. Despite conceding an early goal, the team showed determination and resilience to achieve the desired result.

“We are going to redeem our promise to the team because they really gave their all, As the CEO of the club, I will personally hand over the money to the team.

Adu gave credit to the entire team, particularly Tetteh, who had promised to score at Baba Yara. Overall, Adu was very pleased and satisfied with their performance.
