The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season is set to resume on March 7, 2025 after almost a month break, the GFA has confirmed
The league had to be delayed temporary following the painful death of staunch Kotoko supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong, famously known as 'Nana Pooley' weeks ago during a GPL week 19 fixture between the Porcupine Warriors and Nsoatreman FC.
It's definitely a very sad development and is currently in the hands of the police which are still on with their investigations with clubs and players also eager for the return of the Ghanaian topflight championship.
The good news is that, after Kotoko had agreed to return to competitive football after Pooley's final funeral rite on Thursday, March 6, the Ghana Premier League will return with matchday 23 the following day and will continue into the weekend.
Outstanding fixtures for match-day 20, 21 and 22 have all been scheduled to be honoured on March 18-20, April 1-3 and April 15-17 respsctively.
