Ghana Premier League side Nations FC have announced the contract termination of Kassim Mingle and Johnson Smith as the club's head coach and assistant coach with immediate effect.
The Abrankese-based outfit confirmed the decision to relieve the duo from their roles after a hard-fought 3-2 home win over Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League week seven fixture on Sunday.
Nations FC have had a difficult start in the 2025–26 season's campaign, amassing just eight points from the seven Premier League games leaving them at 12th place on the league table.
The club's official statement reads: “Nations FC have mutually parted ways with both Head Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and Assistant Coach Johnson Smith.”
“We thank them for their service to the Club.”
“The club will not make any further comment of this topic.”
Kassim Mingle joined Nations FC from fellow Premier League side Bechem United in 2023 and guided them to finish 5th place during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
He managed Nations FC in 75 matches in the Ghana Premier League during his two-year stay and secured 34 wins, 15 draw and suffered 26 defeats.
Smith masterminded Nations FC's promotion to the Ghana Premier League three seasons ago.
