Hohoe United head coach Tijani Bashiru has assured supporters that his side will show significant improvement after matchday 10 of the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The newly promoted club have endured an inconsistent start to life in the top flight, collecting 10 points from their opening nine matches, with two wins, four draws, and three defeats, leaving them 11th on the table.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash against Dreams FC, Bashiru admitted that his team have been working hard to fix their defensive lapses, an area he believes has cost them valuable points.
“After the game against Vision, we came back and started training on Monday,” he told Hohoe United TV.
“We’re just correcting the mistakes we made in the game against Nations. The problem we have is in our defence, so we’re trying to get them organised and defend well.”
Despite the early-season challenges, Bashiru remains confident that fans will soon see a transformed side.
“We’ve just been unlucky sometimes, but I can assure everyone that we will see a better Hohoe United after matchday 10,” he added.
Hohoe United will take on Dreams FC on Sunday, November 16, with kick-off set for 3pm at the Tuba AstroTurf.
