Aduana Stars coach Yaw Acheampong has opened up about his outfit early struggle in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The two-time league champions have yet to secure a victory in five matches, recording two losses and three draws. Their sluggish performance has left them without momentum in the campaign, raising concerns about their form.
Despite the early setbacks, Acheampong remains optimistic, assuring fans that his team is working hard to improve.
"We are working tirelessly to turn things around. We are playing with young players, and I think it will take time because many of them haven’t experienced the Premier League or played under floodlights before," Acheampong explained. "We’ve played five games, and the gap isn’t too big, so we still have to push forward."
Aduana Stars recently held Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, earning just their third point of the season. Currently sitting 16th on the league table, the "Fire Boys" will need to uplift their performance if they hope to remain competitive this season.
Aduana Stars are set to host Dreams FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in their upcoming matchday six fixture, a game they will be eager to win to kick-start their campaign.
