Assistant coach David Ocloo expressed his disappointment following Asante Kotoko's 3-2 defeat to Accra Lions, highlighting the team's inability to match their opponents' intensity.

Accra Lions took an early lead through Blessing Asumah Dankwah's goal in the 11th minute, setting the tone for the match. Despite Kola Ouattarq's effort to equalize for Kotoko before halftime, the team struggled to contain Accra Lions' relentless pressure.

Speaking after the game, Ocloo acknowledged the disappointment of losing to Accra Lions but credited their opponents for their performance.

“Yes, like you rightly said, it is very, very disappointing. But congratulations to Accra Lions, they played well and they deserved to win,” he told StarTimes after the game.

He admitted, “Accra Lions run more than us; football now is about running and they did it better than us today and they got the game.”

Despite the setback, Asante Kotoko remains in fourth place in the league standings with 32 points, while Accra Lions climbed to 10th place with 27 points after their victory.
