Dreams FC head coach, Karim Zito, has expressed disappointment over the relocation of their upcoming Ghana Premier League match against Hearts of Oak to the Baba Yara Stadium, away from their usual home ground, the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
The decision to move the fixture stems from ongoing renovation works at the Theatre of Dreams, prompting Dreams FC to host the match at the Baba Yara Stadium instead.
Zito voiced his frustration regarding the venue change, citing the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the state of the Dawu stadium pitch.
“It will be a tough game but it just unfortunate we won’t be able to play on home turf (Dawu) because of the state of the pitch now. The state of the Dawu stadium is not good at all and I think those in charge of the field did not do a good” he said.
Despite the setback, Dreams FC remains a formidable force in domestic and continental football, boasting three wins, one draw, and one defeat in their last five games.
However, the absence of Abdul Aziz Issah and Ofori McCarthy, who are representing the Black Satellites in the ongoing African Games, will pose a challenge for the team.
Currently occupying the 11th position on the Ghana Premier League table with 25 points, Dreams FC aims to continue their impressive run despite the venue change for their clash against Hearts of Oak.
