Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has urged his players to make better decisions, even though they secured a tight 1-0 win over Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League.

Hearts took the lead early at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex when Mawuli Wayo scored in the 11th minute after a good pass from Hussein Mohammed. The Phobians controlled most of the match but had to stay alert to protect their slim lead.

After going behind, Nations FC pushed hard for an equaliser, but Hearts’ strong and organised defence kept them out and helped the visitors take all three points.

After the game, Dramani said his team followed their plan but still need to improve in important moments.

“The boys did exactly what we expected in the game, but there’s still a lot of work to do in terms of decision-making and dealing with the right moments,” he said.

He added that the game was always going to be tough, especially with Nations fighting to avoid relegation.

The win strengthens Hearts of Oak’s place in the top three as they push toward the end of the season, while Nations FC remain under pressure in their fight for survival.
