Asante Kotoko midfielder, Baba Yahaya has issued a heartfelt plea to the club's dedicated fans, urging them to maintain their unwavering support despite the team's slow start to the season.
Yahaya expressed profound gratitude for the steadfast backing the fans have shown and implored them to persevere during this challenging period.
As the Porcupine Warriors have yet to secure a win in their first three league games, with two draws against Heart of Lions and Karela United and a loss to Bibiani Goldstars, Baba Yahaya acknowledged the disappointment this may bring to the fans.
However, he assured the supporters that both the players and coaching staff are working tirelessly to address the issues and enhance their on-field performance.
"We gave it our all, but unfortunately, our best wasn't enough. We're determined to improve and perform better in our upcoming matches," Yahaya said in a post-match interview with StarTimes.
"We're not feeling pressured because our coach has always emphasized that he's building a team. While we understand that every point is crucial in the league, we're focused on building a strong team, and we're optimistic about delivering better results in our next match."
He further expressed his unwavering confidence that brighter days lie ahead for the club, and he extended his heartfelt thanks to the fans for their loyalty and dedication.
"The results haven't gone our way yet, but we appreciate our fans for their unwavering support. We urge them not to lose faith in us, as we believe they'll be happy when the results start coming in."
