Baba Yahaya earned the Man of the Match award in Asante Kotoko's 1-1 draw with Karela United on Sunday night at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Karela United took an early lead that surprised the home team, with Evans Adomako finding the net in the 9th minute. Adomako outpaced Asante Kotoko defender Henry Ansu and slotted the ball into the roof of the net for the opening goal.
The Reds pressed for an equalizer but couldn't find one before the first half concluded.
Their persistence eventually paid off in the closing stages, as Baba Yahaya secured a point, extending their winless streak to six matches.
The draw leaves Asante Kotoko in 17th place with 2 points, having recorded two draws and one defeat in the opening three games of the season.
Asante Kotoko is scheduled to face Accra Lions next on Friday in a matchday 4 encounter at Sogakope.
