Accra Hearts of Oak have strengthened their squad with the signing of former Dreams FC goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi, who has agreed a contract that runs until June 2027.
The deal is expected to be made official in the coming days, as the Phobians continue their squad rebuilding ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Agbasi, who earned a reputation as one of the most reliable shot-stoppers in the local league during his time at Dreams FC, brings experience and stability between the posts. His arrival is seen as a major boost to Hearts’ ambitions of reclaiming domestic dominance after recent mixed campaigns.
The 25-year-old was in attendance at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, where he watched his new teammates defeat arch-rivals Asante Kotoko 2-0 in the ongoing GHALCA Top Four tournament.
With Hearts placing emphasis on squad depth and consistency, Agbasi’s signing is expected to provide strong competition for the number one spot, while also adding leadership and composure to the team’s defensive setup.
