Dreams FC's striker, Agyenim Boateng, delivered an outstanding display, netting five goals in their pivotal 8-1 victory over Real Tamale United (RTU) on Wednesday.

Boateng's remarkable performance not only secured Dreams FC's spot in the Ghana Premier League but also thrust him into contention for the league's top scorer accolade.

With Dreams FC teetering just above the relegation zone in 15th place, the pressure was palpable. Reports of unrest within the RTU camp, including players' refusal to train over unpaid bonuses, added to the drama.

Despite RTU's early lead courtesy of Lord Adabo's fourth-minute strike, Dreams FC rallied emphatically at Dawu Park.

Boateng stole the show with his five-goal spree, supported by Benjamin Bature's brace and Dede Ishmael's contribution, sealing an emphatic 8-1 victory.

This crucial win propelled Dreams FC to 11th place on the table with 45 points, ensuring their safety with one match remaining in the season.

Boateng's goal tally now stands at 14, trailing Berekum Chelsea's Stephen Amankona by three goals. Kotoko's Steven Mukwala also boasts 14 goals, with Hearts of Oak's Hamza Issah close behind on 13.

While FC Samartex clinched the title, the focus now shifts to the intense relegation battle involving Heart of Lions, Legon Cities, Karela United, Hearts of Oak, and Great Olympics as the season reaches its climax.
