Former Ghana International Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has been appointed International Relations Manager of Ghana Premier League side Aduana FC.

The former Udinese player joins the Dormaa-based club’s management team, where he is expected to help develop players and build strong links to support Aduana’s growth.

Agyemang Badu is also expected to use his experience and contacts to create opportunities for the club and promote the Aduana brand.

Speaking after his appointment, he thanked the club’s bankroller Nana Agyemang Badu II, as well as the management and technical team.

“First, I thank Nana Agyemang Badu II, the management, CEO Atta Poku and the technical team. I was able to monitor your last game. I am here to help the club succeed. What I know about football is when someone invests in the game, they have to benefit from it,” he said.

He added that the club must focus on delivering quality both on and off the pitch.

“It is not always that CEO Atta Poku will go to Nana for support. We have to be able to deliver quality, and that quality could sell itself,” Agyemang Badu noted.

Explaining his main role, the former Black Stars midfielder said building connections and promoting the club will be key.

“I have to create links out there. Although I have links out there, we need to create new ones as well. We need to sell the name Aduana,” he said.

Agyemang Badu started his career in Berekum with Berekum Arsenal, later had a short stint at Asante Kotoko, and spent most of his playing career in Europe, mainly in Italy.
