Eric Alagidede's exit from Nsoatreman FC sparked rumors that his resignation was tied to the parliamentary defeat of the club's financier, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, in the 2024 General Elections.

However, the club's out-gone General Manager has clarified that his resignation at Nsoatreman FC was a personal decision, not politically motivated, in an interview with Asempa FM.

"I did not resign based on political reasons. I'm a principled person, and I always uphold my principles. I made the decision to leave the club a few months ago."

Eric Alagidede disclosed that he initially planned to resign earlier, but was persuaded to stay; now, he believes the timing is right for his departure.

"I believe the applause is still loud, and it's my personal choice to leave. It's time for someone else to continue the good work I've done."

Nsoatreman FC has struggled in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, with only 3 wins in 13 matches (5 draws, 5 losses).

Nsoatreman FC will play as guests to Bibiani Goldstars in the next round of matches in the Ghana Premier League.
