The Asante Kotoko Interim Management Committee (IMC) has issued an ultimatum to coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, warning of his imminent dismissal if the team's fortunes do not improve in the coming days.
Ogum has faced mounting pressure as Kotoko's season has spiraled downwards, with the club managing just one league victory in 2024.
The Porcupine Warriors have suffered six defeats in their last seven league outings, prompting increased tension between management and supporters.
Fans expressed their discontent on Tuesday by descending on the club's training ground, demanding Ogum's dismissal.
According to Kickgh.com’s sources, the IMC has engaged in discussions with Ogum, urging him to resign to salvage his reputation. However, these efforts have been unsuccessful thus far.
The source further indicated that should the team fail to secure positive results in their next two matches, the IMC will be left with no choice but to seek clearance from Manhyia to terminate Ogum's contract.
Asante Kotoko is set to face league leaders Samartex at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in a crucial Premier League matchweek 27 fixture.
Currently occupying the 11th position on the league table with 32 points, Kotoko faces mounting pressure to reverse their dismal form and salvage their season.
