Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have entered in a hot race for the signature of Berekum Chelsea defender Lord Amoah in the just-opened transfer window.
The 21-year-old had a standout season with the Bibires in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League, playing a pivotal role in their commendable third-place finish.
Hearts of Oak were very close to securing the service of the versatile wing-back who was set for medicals and finalize everything with the capital-based side by the end of the week.
However, their bitter rivals Asante Kotoko per reports, have hijacked the move as it stands and this means the two most glamorous clubs will have to battle out for the signature of the enterprising lateral.
The former Benab FC star, brings in significant experience to the table, having accumulated 61 appearances and contributing 8 goals since his debut in the domestic top-flight league.
Last season alone, he featured in 29 matches in the Ghana Premier League, showcasing his defensive prowess and contributing three assists. His impressive performances have caught the attention of several clubs, with Asante Kotoko leading the charge to secure his signature.
