Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Premier League outfit Bibiani Gold Stars, Akwasi Adu, believes the strategic appointment of Frimpong Manso will motivate the players to perform well.
While the Miners were looking for a quick antidote to end their woes in the topflight, they settled on the former Bofoakwa Tano head coach, who they believed will turn the current fortunes of the club.
"You look at the leaders of the league and the team’s (that are) bottom of the table, the points build-up is not so wide that someone can confidently say he/she has won the league," Adu told Citi Sports.
"If we are to win our next games, our situation at the bottom of the table can be changed to mid-table.
"We still believe that with 21 matches remaining, we can get a good run… and with the new coach coming, it will be a huge motivation for the team.
"I think we are still on course and it is possible we can finish the season on a high," he added.
Bibiani Gold Stars are 16th in the Ghana Premier League standings on 12 points, four points ahead of bottom dwellers Heart of Lions who are eighteenth.
