James Kwesi Appiah, the technical director of Asante Kotoko has made a return to the team for the first time after being appointed the head coach of the Sudan national team.
The 63-year-old was at the training grounds of the Porcupine Warriors on Thursday as the club intensified preparations towards their match-day 14 fixture against bitter rivals - Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Appiah is still holding on to his role as a member of the four-member Interim Management Committee of the club.
Asante Kotoko are currently sitting 7th on the league log with 19 points, just three points above the Phobians who are eighth.
