After Great Olympics terminated his one-year contract via text message on September 14, 2022, Yaw Preko, the former Head Coach, has been awarded GHS 30,000 by the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association.
This decision was made after Preko filed a petition, citing his persistent use of Emmanuel Agyeman Badu as the reason for his dismissal, contrary to directives from CEO Oluboi Commodore.
The disciplinary committee found Great Olympics guilty of breaching their contract with Preko and found no evidence that he had violated any of the contract's clauses.
“Based on the available documents and pieces of evidence before the Committee, we are satisfied that, Petitioner did not breach Clause 5a or 5b of his contract with the club since there is no convincing evidence before the committee”, a portion of the ruling stated.
