Accra Lions shared the spoils with FA Cup finalist Nsoatreman FC in a pulsating 1-1 draw at the Nana Koromansah II Park in Nsoatre.

The hosts got off to a brilliant start when Collins Kudjo gave them a sixth-minute lead, but the visitors leveled through Bernald Kesse before halftime.

Nsoatreman quickly established their intentions with Adu Kwabena Meider pressing early, only to be fouled, resulting in a free kick that landed in the arms of goalkeeper Andrews Owusu. However, their early pressure paid off when a cross from Stephen Diyuo found Kudjo, who headed in to give his side the lead.

Accra Lions responded twenty minutes later, warming into the game with a brilliant play by Dominic Amponsah, who found Kesse for the equalizer.

Blessing Asuman of Accra Lions was then denied a goal three minutes later by a fingertip save from Nsoatreman goalkeeper Daniel Afadzwu. The hosts almost retook the lead before halftime, but Owusu came to the rescue for Accra Lions.

After the break, Nsoatreman pushed more men forward, with Kwabena Meider, Eric Bonsu, and Issaka Mohammed trying their luck. However, Accra Lions were equal to the task as coach Ibrahim Tanko made a couple of changes, including an early second-half introduction of Issa Ibrahim for Remember Boateng.

Despite the flurry of attacks, Accra Lions held their ground and created decent chances, ensuring they returned to Accra with a valuable point.
