Berekum Chelsea clambered to the fourth position of the Ghana Premier League table and dented Bechem United’s hopes of picking all the three maximum points in a frenetic 1-1 draw at Golden City Park.
Bechem led through a some fine strikes from Emmanuel Annor, who would seemingly have the expected laugh against the Bibires, but ones Samuel Boadu’s men found the required response, as Stephen Amankonah got the final touch off an avoidable mistake with a 85th minute leveller to steal a point for the hosts in dramatic circumstances.
Both side’s were in an ascendancy mood as loads of chances was abundant as the game progressed into the final quarter, but the Hunters did well to snuff any goal threatening attacks.
Bechem United have temporarily rise to the fifth spot with 33 points, while Chelsea have thronged to fourth with 34 points but are eight points behind leaders Samartex.
