The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season will kick off on Sept. 12, as clubs across the country gear up for another campaign of top-flight action.

The opening fixtures will set the tone for a season expected to be fiercely contested, with defending champions Bibiani GoldStars aiming to retain their crown in the face of stiff competition from last season top four seeded side's Heart of Lions, Asante Kotoko, and a resurgent Hearts of Oak.

The full schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks, but Kickgh.com can confirm that matchday one will feature games across all 18 participating clubs.

Last season saw Bibiani GoldStars clinch their 1st league title, finishing three points clear at the top. Relegated clubs Nsoatreman, Legon Cities and Accra Lions will be replaced by promoted sides Swedru All Blacks, Hohoe United and Techiman Eleven Wonders.

The new season will also see the introduction of enhanced broadcasting arrangements and tighter officiating protocols aimed at boosting the league’s reputation both locally and abroad.
