Karela United sign Malik Abubakar on permanent deal

Ghana Premier League side Karela United have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Malik Abubakar, the club announced on Monday.

Abubakar, 20, spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Karela from Bechem United, making a strong impression with his consistent performances in midfield. His displays earned praise from fans and management alike, prompting Karela to pursue a full transfer.



“We're delighted to announce the permanent signing of Malik Abubakar from Bechem United,” a club statement read. “After an impressive loan spell, Malik has cemented his place in our team with his exceptional skills, work ethic, and goal scoring prowess.”



Terms of the deal were not disclosed, however, Abubakar is expected to link up with the squad ahead of their pre-season preparations.
