Renovation work is currently underway at Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman, the home ground of Ghana Premier League returnees' Techiman Eleven Wonders, with the club undertaking upgrades to the pitch, dressing rooms, VIP stands, and the media section.
The overhaul is being done as the club aims not to fall under the gavel of the Ghana FA’s Club Licensing Board, which might revoked the club’s license to host matches at the venue, which they will definitely cite safety concerns over a “bumpy and uneven” pitch that looks excessively dry.
Work on the playing surface is being fast-tracked, including debris clearance, re-leveling, re-sodding, and drainage enhancements, all aimed at meeting licensing requirements and ensuring player safety.
Kickgh.com checks confirmed that the Techiman Municipal Assembly has assigned additional labour to accelerate progress.
In parallel, a modern dressing-room block is being constructed. The facility will include updated showers, medical treatment areas, and changing rooms for both home and visiting teams.
A new VIP stand is also nearing completion, alongside a purpose-built media centre featuring camera platforms and press workstations to support broadcast and match-day coverage.
Stephen Puro, CEO of Techiman Eleven Wonders, said the infrastructure upgrades are part of a broader vision, going ahead to emphasise that the project is “much bigger” than merely returning to the premier league, aiming to position the club as a standard-bearer for its peers.
Eleven Wonders secured promotion back to the Ghana Premier League on May 30, sealing a dramatic 2‑1 playoff victory over Real Tamale United . With the renovations expected to conclude before the 2025‑26 season, the club is optimistic that Ohene Ameyaw Park will once again host top-flight fixtures.
