Bibiani Goldstars forward Prince Kwabena Owusu has confirmed his long-rumored move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
The highly-rated attacker's contract with Goldstars has expired, and he is now set to join the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing transfer window.
In an exclusive interview with Akoma FM, Owusu revealed that he has received numerous calls from Asante Kotoko and is hopeful that a deal will be finalized soon.
"Yes, I have received calls, and the majority of them are from Asante Kotoko. We are far along in the conversation, and I am hoping it will go well," he said.
Owusu, who is one of the most sought-after strikers in the local scene, is confident that he can make a significant impact at his new club.
"I am a striker who can play from both wings as well as the main striker, so they will see me more around the opponent's box, similar to how Samuel Eto'o used to play. I only seek strength to perform my duties," he added.
The 26-year-old had an impressive season with Goldstars, scoring 9 goals and providing 2 assists in 29 games in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign.
He is eager to continue his form at his new club and is asking fans to support him with prayers.
"I asked the fans to support us with prayers, and when I arrive at Kotoko, with God everything will be fine," he said.
