The no-nonsense gaffer believes the Dawu-based club continues to be a tough customers for his side following their narrow win against the Still Believe in the season's opener over the weekend
Heart of Lions coach Bashir Hayford has described league rivals Dreams FC a ''bogey'' side after superintending over his side's 1-0 victory against them in the just-started Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The quick-tempered tactician was full of praises for his charges after playing to his instructions on the field of play, with defender Ebenezer Abban converting a spot-kick on the 25th minute to hand them the maximum three points at the Kpando Sports Stadium at the end of the contest.
The former Asante Kotoko manager told the gathered journalists at a post-match press conference: ''Dreams has been a bogey club for us and it was not easy beating them.''
"I am happy with the instructions I gave to my attackers that they should control [the ball], and when they enter the 18-yard [box], they should not panic because there's another option if they are brought down [penalty]. And that was the only goal of the match.''
The Kpando-based club are currently occupying the 5th position in the GPL table for the just-started 2025-26 campaign. They next face newcomers Eleven Wonders at the Ohene Ameyaw Stadium for the second round of match fixtures in the top-flight.
