Heart of Lions has officially named Bashir Hayford as their new head coach for the remainder of the season.

The 65-year-old tactician takes charge after the dismissal of Fatawu Salifu due to a series of disappointing results in the 2023-24 campaign.

Hayford's contract extends until the end of the current season, with an option for an extension if he successfully steers the club to safety.

Currently positioned at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table, Heart of Lions seeks a turnaround under Hayford's guidance.

The experienced coach returns to Lions for a second stint, previously leading them in the 2006/2007 season.
