Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford voiced his frustration after his side slipped to a 1–0 home defeat against Aduana FC, admitting that performances on the training pitch are not translating into results on matchday.

The loss brought an end to Lions unbeaten home run this season and saw Aduana FC move top of the Ghana Premier League table.

Patrick Mensah scored the decisive goal six minutes into the second half, reacting quickest after his initial effort was blocked to guide the rebound into the net.

Hayford was critical of his players inability to execute instructions worked on in training.

“I told them on the training ground that what we rehearsed was not coming through. So I asked them whether something had gone wrong.

“Is it anything different from what we do in training and what we expect them to do? That’s why I was furious, because it is not once, twice, or three times,” he said.

The victory lifts Aduana one point clear at the summit, having played a game more than second-placed Medeama, whose fixture against Bibiani GoldStars was postponed this weekend.
