Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has admitted concern over his team’s recent slump, describing their three-game winless streak as a major “worry” ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League home encounter against Vision FC.

The Kpando-based side has struggled in recent weeks, claiming only one victory in their last seven league matches, a poor run that has seen the Lions slide down the table and put pressure on Hayford to halt the decline.

Speaking ahead of the Matchday 28 fixture at Kpando Stadium, Hayford pinpointed wastefulness in front of goal as the main factor behind the slump. Despite dominating games and creating numerous chances, the team has lacked the clinical finishing required to secure wins.

“It’s a worry. In the last three matches, we have created a lot of chances, and finishing has been a problem that we are deliberating on. So we are still working on it,” Hayford told the media.

Currently sitting 13th with 34 points, the Lions are just one point behind their upcoming opponents, Vision FC, making Sunday’s clash a key opportunity to climb the standings.
