Former Hearts of Oak striker, Kofi Kordzi has boldly stated with so much optimism that, his former club will never be relegated and that he doesn't see that happening in anyway.

The 'Phobians' have been really struggling in the ongoing season, having went through ups and downs throughout the campaign though they made a great start to the second round after the appointment of coach Aboubakar Ouattara.

Their appalling run has currently dropped them to the 15th position with 42 points after 33 matches, having won just 10, drawn 12 and lost 11.

The club's position on the league table at the moment has left people talking with the majority stating relegation is very possible looking at the venue they will be wrapping up their season- Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, where they will play as guests to Bechem United in what will be a very difficult game.

On Joy FM, the bulky striker optimistically, referred back to history and said his former club have never and will never be relegated from the Ghana Premier League.

"Right now I'm not in the team but what I'll say is I'm not sure Hearts will go to relegation. That one I'm not sure.

“No, I haven't seen that Hearts of Oak is going on relegation. I haven't seen it or I haven't heard of it.

“But this is the first time me experiencing this so what I'll say is I can't say much about this but the relegation won’t happen. It won’t happen.”

Kofi Kordzi had two spells with Hearts of Oak- where he first joined in 2018 from Royal FC and left in 2020 to join Qatari club Al Muaither.

Also, the 29-year-old joined the 'Phobians' again but spent only the 2021/22 season and subsequently left to join Legon Cities FC.
