Former Asante Kotoko forward, Stephen Manu has expressed his concern about the potential relegation of either Hearts of Oak or Great Olympics from the Ghana Premier League.

In an interview with Happy Sports, Manu emphasized that the league would "lose its value" if either of the two Accra rivals is relegated.

Manu, who played for BA United, believes that Hearts of Oak is one of the biggest teams in Ghana and its relegation would have a significant impact on the league. He is praying that both Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics do not get relegated, as he thinks that their relegation would be a blow to the league's competitiveness and fan base.

“It won’t be good for the Ghana Premier League if Hearts of Oak gets relegated.Hearts is one of the biggest teams in Ghana. We are praying both Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics do not get relegated. If they do, the league is finished,” he said.

Both teams are currently struggling to avoid relegation, with Hearts of Oak needing a win against Bechem United and Great Olympics requiring victory over Real Tamale United on the final day of the season to secure their top-flight status. If they fail to do so, they will be relegated to the lower divisions, which would have far-reaching consequences for the league.

The Ghana Premier League season is set to conclude next weekend, and both teams will be hoping to avoid the drop.
