Hearts of Oak have opened discussions with Konadu Yiadom and his representatives in the hope of convincing the defender to sign a contract extension.
The Phobians fear they could lose him for free at the end of the season when his current contract expires, with reports claiming an unnamed top seeded Ghanaian club having a long-term plan to sign him.
The capital based side has already reached out to the centre-back's representatives regarding an extension, Kickgh.com can report.
However, they are yet to offer him new terms but hope to make progress in the coming days.
The dependable defender has featured in just 15 games in the Ghana Premier League for the Phobians, racking up just one assist.
Yiadom made the switch to Hearts of Oak in August 2022 and has settled in as a mainstay centre-back.
The former Black Galaxies centre-back was on loan last season at Ukrainian club Kryvbas Kryvyi, but failed to make an impression, compelling him to return to Hearts of Oak at the start of the 2024/25 season.
