Kwame Opare Addo, who is the Public Relations officer at Hearts of Oak has responded and quashed incessant rumors flaring around the country of match-fixing claims levelled against his club.

The Rainbow shirted-lads in recent times have had a peachy form, performing poorly and failing to snatch vital points in their league matches and as a result people suspect most of their matches were manipulated.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Opare Addo dismissed those allegations, tagging them as mere speculation.

"Rumors that Hearts of Oak have been selling their matches are speculation.

"After our defeat to Samartex, the board met with the technical team to find out the problems that have resulted in our poor form. The players were also met as well.

"We tried to put things in place to get back to the positive line to ensure that we are winning but unfortunately, it didn't end there. But we are still doing our best to motivate them," Addo concluded.

Hearts of Oak, who are lurking on the 11th spot on 45 points, will neck-it-down with Berekum Chelsea in their final game at the Golden City Park and must win that game in order not to be relegated.
