Hearts of Oak have expressed concern following reports of an armed robbery attack on the team bus of Berekum Chelsea after a Ghana Premier League match.

The Accra-based rainbow-shirted club described the incident as disturbing and offered support to all those affected, including players, officials and management.

In a statement, Hearts of Oak said no team should face such danger while carrying out their duties.

“We extend our thoughts and solidarity to Berekum Chelsea FC, the players, technical team, management, and all officials affected by this disturbing incident,” the club said.

They also wished a quick recovery to those injured and expressed hope that they receive proper medical care.

Hearts of Oak called for a full investigation into the attack and urged authorities to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
